It’s nice whenever the games come to YOU. I was contacted last week by a gentleman who had previously purchased games from a former operator I had dealt with in the past. He was looking to get rid of his collection because he was moving to a smaller house and need to downsize. Granted, the lot didn’t consist of many “classics”, but still not an entirely bad collection. My favorite part of the deal was that all the games but one were working! I also got a few circuit boards and NEO cartridges in to boot!
The lot consisted of a Ms Pac/Frogger/Galaga multicade, a dedicated 2-slot neo geo, a vertical JAMMA shooter, an Arkanoid, a single-slot neo geo, a dedicated mortal kombat II, and a Ninja Warriors cabinet which you have to see to believe.

The best part of the deal was going to be a Seawitch pinball machine. Unfortunately, that wasn’t in the cards. We agreed on a price several days beforehand, I speak to the guy the night before, rent a truck in the morning, drive to his house, and it is then…THEN that he tells me the pinball is off the table. WTF?! Totally classless. Since I already paid for the truck, we negotiated down and I loaded up all the games that I could take home.
Ultimately, I think the only keeper for me is going to be the dedicated Neo Geo which I will install my 120-1 cart that I’ve had for a few months now, but have been waiting on a cabinet. The Last Mission JAMMA game and the 3-1 will both be painted and I’ll add new t-molding, joysticks, and marquees to make them both 60-1′s that I’ll sell on the open market. Everything else will remain as-is and sold.
Again, not the best collection of classics, but when they fall from the sky like this, you can’t pass them up.
