I have been lucky enough to have had an opportunity to participate in several warehouse raids in the short amount of time that I’ve been collecting arcade games. Warehouse raids are always exciting and exhilirating. Pulling up to the driveway of a building filled with untold treasures always makes the heart flutter. Actually getting inside, turning the corner of rows and rows of games is even more thrilling. However, sometimes, things are too good to be true.
Here, is a tale of one such “too good to be true” warehouse… Read the rest of this entry »
I just watched the movie for the first time the other night (sacriledge, I know) whilst recapping a monitor. Wouldn’t you know it, the next day I saw this awesome cartoon on a blog I read. After playing a fully working Tron in a friend’s gameroom, I am on the hunt. That blacklight is just too pretty and the gameplay is too fun.
Forget Jumpman, he’s too passive. Check out what happens when Scorpion from Mortal Kombat fills in for Mario to try and save the princess from Donkey Kong. Oops…maybe he got a little too carried away.
Had a great day today and was finally able to do something other than work. I spent half of my day picking up and setting up my new pinball game – F-14 Tomcat by Williams. Isn’t she a beaut? (More pics after the jump) Read the rest of this entry »
I am pleased to announce the official launch of the newly-redesigned Atlanta Arcades website. Atlanta Arcades is a local business here in Atlanta that sells arcade games, pinball machines, jukeboxes, slot machines, and services/repairs almost all of those items as well. The rest of my website design team and myself have been diligently working on this project over the past couple of months. Now the hard work is over and, I think the site is a success!
The connection was made through Craigslist as an offer to barter website design services in trade for pinball machines or arcade games. Read the rest of this entry »
I opened the September issue of Gameroom Magazine to find a nice little snippet covering an article I wrote about an old Playmeter Magazine article about WICO. I am a subscriber and was shocked to find that my little site got picked up by the “pulse” of the arcade hobby. As a bonus, original author of the PlayMeter article commented on the thread!
If you’re just checking out this site due to the Gameroom mention – welcome! There has been a bit of dry spell due to RealLife ™ , but things should be under control and regular posts should resume.
Whew. Being a parent of two kids can wear you out. With the birth of my second child in April, my freetime went out the window. I thought I would recover after a few months, but that idea is shot. Not to mention, I won’t be able to work at home and get distracted as easily. Therefore, I’ll be selling most of my project cabinets.

You can check out my posting and prices on craigslist.
This is actually old news, but I was so busy getting prepped for the party that I forgot to mention on the blog that I am now the proud owner of another Nintendo classic – Popeye!

NoCashValue.info has teamed up with GameStencils.com to provide you, the fevered arcade hobbyist, with brand new Gunsmoke artwork for your very own restoration! Brian over at gamestencils has been great to deal with and his products are really top-notch. I know this probably isn’t a product in high-demand, but I love the fact that Game Stencils is willing to step out on a limb and carry some of the more “off-the-wall” and obscure items out there.
